Disney on Ice: Treasure Trove!

Hi Everyone!

How was your Holidays? I hope you all had a marvelous time with your loved ones!

Me? I took quite a break from blogging to focus on the holidays and enjoy it with my family. Now that it's over, I'm back to share with you what I've been up to the past weeks. Here's for starters:

Last December 24, 2013, my family and I were blessed to have watched Disney On Ice: Treasure Trove's kick-off show at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. I cannot be more thankful to the generous people behind Araneta Group for this wonderful Christmas treat for my family.

It was our first time to watch and every bit of it is unforgettable. I know Yomi really enjoyed watching Mickey and his friends sing and dance because she kept on telling everyone at home
how the Witch gave Snow White an apple. It's really priceless. :)

Press Release: A Magnificent and Meaningful Christmas from Disney on Ice!

The show opens with the soldiers from Toy Story
Disney on Ice has been a yearly Christmas tradition among Filipinos, with the Smart Araneta Coliseum filled with families enjoying a magical ice spectacle of their favorite Disney characters. More than a magnificent show however, this year’s staging will be made more meaningful as it will be dedicated to a special cause.

Alice in Wonderland
Disney on Ice presents Treasure Trove, showing at the Smart Araneta Coliseum from December 25 to January 5, has partnered with ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya to raise funds for typhoon Yolanda survivors. Part of the proceeds from all shows will go to relief and rehabilitation efforts in areas in Visayas affected by the storm.

The show’s production management team has done various internal fund-raising activities with skaters who have performed in the Philippines in its 23-year run. In addition, a special Disney on Ice charity show will be staged on December 24 inviting the children from disaster-stricken areas.

Peter Pan
Timeless tales of Disney movies have taught children good moral values, and this year’s Disney on Ice presents Treasure Trove hopes to inspire the values of giving, charity and compassion for others especially during the Christmas season.

Mickey and Friends
For this year’s Disney on ice, audiences will experience a medley of their favorite animated Disney movies throughout the years including the very first full-length animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and the 50th Disney film, Tangled. The show also includes moments from classic Disney films like Peter Pan, The Lion King, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Aladdin, and The Little Mermaid, as well as new favorites Tangled and Princess and the Frog.
