The Cream Factory Bath Cream: Goat's Milk and Seaweed Review

Hello, Loves!

I have always been a loyal hard soap user until I got to try The Cream Factory Bath Cream. Before, bath creams made me feel uncomfortable because it makes my skin feel too slippery and icky after bath. Although, I veer away from bath creams, hard soaps have the tendency to make my skin feel dry. I used this bath cream for three weeks and it made me into a bath cream convert. So let me tell you more about this product and why I'm starting my bath cream love affair.

Bobbie Cosmetics Lipsticks

Hi, Loves!

Nothing excites me more than affordable, local make up. So when my sister told me a few months ago about Bobbie Cosmetics, I knew I just had to check it out. I've already posted a photo of one of the lipsticks in my IG account several weeks ago but haven't had the chance to do a proper review about it. Now, I've gotten a couple more shades and finally am ready to share with you what I think about these. Just read on to know more.

Jazzy Collections Eyebrow Corrector

Hi, Guys!

Apart from being lipstick-obsessed, I am eyebrow-obsessed. Yes, blame it on the thin, sparse eyebrows that I inherited from my grandmother. Ergo, I am always on the look out for affordable, long-lasting , and easy-to-work-with eyebrow products. I already hit pan on my HG eyebrow cake from Jazzy so I went out to get a new one but I was thrilled to have found this Jazzy Collections Eyebrow Corrector instead.

Nyx Matte Lipstick in Siren

Hello, my loves!

I have been on a dark lipstick phase this past week. I even posted a list of 10 inexpensive dark lipsticks  in the Philippines. You can read all about it here. Unfortunately this Nyx Matte Lipstick in Siren didn't make the list because it just arrived a few days ago. When my husband went to Cebu, I asked him to pick this shade up at Chedelyn's Cosmetics and fortunately it was available. I won't go into a full-blown review here anymore because there are already plenty of reviews about this particular line over the internet. Rather I just want to focus on this shade.

I'm a Crayola Kid!

Hi Mommies and Daddies!

Most of us have come to know Crayola when we were still kids. Who has fond memories of getting excited over a new set of Crayola crayons? I remember when I was in elementary, I wanted the Box of 64 crayons so bad because back then you're considered cool if you have one of those. I always have that giddy feeling whenever I get a brand new box of crayons right before school starts.

Today, it’s our kids’ turn to feel the excitement and happiness that Crayola's box of crayons brings! Crayola together with Toy Kingdom Philippines launched the I am Crayola Kid! Online Arts & Crafts Contest. No matter what our kids’ interests are, they can always express themselves on paper with crayons, markers, glitter, glue, cutouts, sprinkles, smudges, doodles, whatever they fancy!

Here's how your kids can join:

Up for grabs are awesome Ogalala goodie bags with Crayola items and more. They're also picking out 3 winners per age category starting with 1 year olds, so we get to see the amazing imaginations of toddlers too!

Just click on the following links for more information

Make Me Blush Nail Spa and Beauty Lounge Experience

Last week had been a very busy and stressful week for the family so my sisters and I agreed to take a much needed R&R. I suggested we pay Make Me Blush Nail Spa & Beauty Lounge a visit since it's very near our house and I've been wanting to try their nail services for the longest time. After checking their prices online (I had to first make sure they're reasonably priced), we took a trip (more like walk because it's so walking-distance) to the nail spa and let me tell you more about our experience there.

Hi friends!

I hope you're all doing great today!

I am so excited to share with you a very interesting product I found at Daiso last weekend. Daiso has always been an exciting place for me because I know they have the cutest and most unique stuff there for only Php 88.00! Whenever I visit Daiso, I never forget to check out their cosmetics section and that's where I found this Ever Bilena Eye Brow Coat. Being eyebrow-obsessed, I just knew I had to try it. So here's what I think about this product.

Starter Kit for Make Up Newbies

Hello, Loves!

Like with every thing else, we always have to start somewhere. Before I had all my make up and a drawer-full of lipsticks, my make up kit only contained a few basics. I was still in college then that's why I don't need that much make up but when I stared to work, I knew I need to buy a few essentials to add to my kit. So if you're a make up rookie or just simply clueless about make up but want to build your starter kit, here are a few things you might want to include.

Easy Carbonara Recipe

Hello, Loves!

Just thought to share a very easy pasta recipe using Clara Ole Carbonara Pasta Sauce. A few weeks ago, Clara Ole sent me some of their new cream-based sauces to try. I have been a Clara Ole user even before I went into blogging and I honestly think that their pasta sauces are very easy to use because little to no tweaking  is needed to fit our taste. Today, I decided to try their carbonara pasta sauce and here's my very easy carbonara recipe.

Cheddar Burst Boulevard

Hi! Everyone.

Happy Friday!

I am just thrilled to share with you a new burger joint my husband and I got to try last night in Quezon City. It's called Cheddar Burst Boulevard. My friends and I have been planning to check the place out and try their burgers since they opened last April but haven't gotten the chance nor the time to meet up. Last night while we were thinking where to hang out and bond, my husband suggested we go ahead and try it out already.

That's my hubby and daughter on the left and that's AC (the owner)

Clara Ole's Quality Cream-based Sauces

Hi! Guys and gals!

I am a self-confessed pasta lover. I can't live without eating pasta at least once in a while. Whenever I can't think of a dish to cook, I end up whipping up very simple pasta dishes. Since I discovered Clara Ole's Three Cheese Pasta Sauce, I have been using it in almost all my pasta recipes like my very easy Tuna Pasta and Baked Macaroni. I love it a lot because the taste is already just right. I just add a little bit of McCormick's Italian Seasoning or Basil leaves and it's done! No need to spend time balancing the taste out. I really am a fan of most of their tomato-based pasta sauces and now their quality cream-based sauces are a perfect addition to their already impressive line of pasta sauces.

Godiva Skin Care

Hi! Friends.

I took a little break from blogging because my life has been a little crazy these past months with the move and all topped with a faulty internet connection. But all is well now and hopefully I can go back to blogging more often. Anyway, I received a bunch of Godiva Natural Skin Care products a few months ago. I got some face and body products to try and here's what I think about them. Let me begin with the face products.

PRESS RELEASE: Make Parenthood More Fun and Fulfilling Through Ogalala System in Play

While she was born to a family with a successfully growing business, Maye Yao Co Say didn’t have a red carpet laid out for her. Rather, this hardworking woman immersed herself in every aspect of it—from cleaning up the warehouse to selling items to customers as a little girl, to coming up with marketing ideas and introducing brands to the market as a college student; you name it, she’s done it. And everything she has learned along the way proved useful to her in her present roles today as businesswoman and mother.

Going Bananas for Banana Peel Flip Flops!

 Hi Guys!

Last Mother's day, my daughter and I received a very special and sweet gift from Banana Peel. My daughter immediately fell for the cute Reverie flip flops from the Hearties collection and I for the teal and violet combo of the Un-Teal Then sandals from the Sutton Collection. It came perfect in time for our Zambales getaway. Too bad I wasn't able to take an OOTD with it. It also came with a green tea foot spray and foot blush. It's great that aside form flip flops they also have products to help take care of our feet.

FOTD: Cherry Picking in Summer

Hi guys!

Lately, I'm inspired to put on make up despite this ridiculous heat  and that I'm going nowhere. Hahaha!(All dolled-up and nowhere to go.) Most of the time, I get inspiration from the gorgeous MUA and make up enthusiasts I follow on IG like @_jmaybelline and @annwabisabi16 to name a few. Sometimes, I just look at my lipstick stash and base a certain look from my chosen lipstick. In this particular FOTD, I decided to use Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick in Cherry Picking. Since Cherry picking is already a bright color in my opinion, I went for a neutral eye make up. To find out how I created this look and what products I used, just keep on reading. :)

FOTD: Radiant Orchid

Hi Friends!

I just want to share with you this look which I posted in my Instagram account last Friday. I have been wanting to create a radiant orchid full-face look for sometime now but I just couldn't get around to doing it. So last Friday, I thought "Well, why the hell not now?" Since I have someone to look after the kids, I thought I'd play around with make up a bit. Here's a closer look and how-to on how I came up with this radiant orchid FOTD.

Summer 2014 Lipstick Picks

I hope the heat has not been too unforgiving over where you are today.

It really is scorching hot these days and because of that it's a little uncomfortable to wear any kind of  make up. However, in times that I need to wear make up I skip heavy foundations and eye make up and just focus on the lips. I thought I'd share with you some of my summertime lipstick picks.

Hitting The Pan 2014

How have you all been doing lately? Today, I just want to share with you some of the products which I've already hit pan on. Unlike lipsticks, I tend to go through most of my powder products faster. I rarely finish a tube of lipstick but I always use up my cake foundations/pressed powder.  Honestly, seeing the silver pan is somewhat bittersweet because it means I'm almost out of the product but it also means I've shown it a lot of love.

I'm back with another What's New at the Philippine Beauty Aisle post. This time I am featuring Bobbie Cosmetics. I'm not really sure how long these have been out in the market and these may not be very new but if I am not mistaken these just came out  probably in February.

Bella Dolce Matte Lipstick

Hi! Everyone.

Hope you're all doing great today!

I just want to share with you my thoughts on this new Bella Dolce Matte Lipsticks from a brand called Fiametta. I love discovering new make up brands that I don't usually see in malls. I first chanced upon Fiametta's kiosk in Starmall Shaw Blvd. I found their Kiosk again in Fisher Mall along Quezon Ave. and got to try one of their matte lipsticks and loved it. Too bad I was in a "no-buy" phase so I wasn't able to get one.

But it's as if the Lipstick gods (if there's any) were smiling down on me because a few weeks later I received a message from the company saying  that they'd like to send some of their new Bella Dolce Matte Lipsticks for review. (Yes. These were sent to me by the company but I assure you that whatever I say about these are my 100% honest opinion). Here it goes.

Four Lipstick Shades Every Woman Should Have

One of the things I learned from Bianca Valerio during Colour Collection's Hot Hues event which I attended last March 1 was that every woman has to have four (4) lipstick shades in her collection. According to her a woman should at least have a nude lipstick, pink lipstick, peach lipstick, a red lipstick in her kit.

Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipstick

Hi! How's your week so far?
I hope you had a great week and have an even greater weekend ahead.

When I got an invitation for Colour Collection's Hot Hues event last March 1 (read about my experience here), I was over the moon because it's a brand known for their quality products and because yes, you guessed it right, I LOVE LIPSTICKS! I am so thankful for the whole experience because I met awesome ladies (Hi! Maica and Karen.), learned from the make up goddess herself, Bianca Valerio, and got to take home lots of goodies including these Ultimate Wear Lipsticks.

Achieve rich, longwearing color that glides on smoothly and doesn’t fade away easily. Always hydrating and never drying, this high-cushioned lipstick keeps lips moisturized all day, minimizes the appearance of fine lines, and stops feathering to give lips the perfect plumped-up appearance. Slim and handy, with a see through window for easy identification.

The Appraisery: Clothes. Collectibles. Coffee

Who would have thought that inside the unassuming old Marikina Shoe Expo, now known as Cubao X to some, is a collection of quaint businesses aside from shoe stores. There's  ukay-ukay, art shops, thrift shops, galleries, restaurants, bars, and a coffee shop. There's definitely a lot of interesting and unique shops inside. Last Thursday, I, together with some of my blogger friends, got to check out a very homey coffee shop called The Appraisery

Lipstick 101: Lipstick Finish

Hi Everyone!

With all the lipsticks that cosmetics brand come out with, it can be bit overwhelming and difficult, especially if you're a make up newbie, to know the difference of each lipstick from one another. There are hundreds of different shades in the market today and not all shades appear the same way on your lips as it does in the tube because of the finish.

Lipstick 101: Choosing A Lipstick Shade

Hey! Gorgeous gals and hot mommas!

I've had my fair share of "mistakes" in choosing a lipstick. I always get attracted to a certain shade worn by a model or another woman but becomes disappointed when I finally get try it one because it washes me out or is just off against my skin. Some of the women I know who are not very much into lipsticks often tell me that one of the reasons behind their lack of enthusiasm for it is that they have no idea what shade works well for them. They often have a hard time picking out the "perfect" shade that will suit them.

So here are some of the guidelines I gathered to help you choose what lipstick shade will be most flattering and will work great for your skin tone.
To help you find the right shade, you must first know your undertone. Here's a chart to help you identify what undertone you have.

People with warm undertones look best in earth, coral,  orange,  bronze, peach shades.

  • Red lipsticks with brown and orange undertones work great for people with warm undertones. Try M&Co. Long Lasting Matte Lipstick in Brick Red and Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Storm.
  • In choosing a nude lipstick, avoid those that are more than 2 shades lighter than your skin tone as it will wash you out. Choose nude lipsticks that lean more towards the peach side. You can try Fashion 21 Aqualicious Lipstick in Arctic Stone or CoverGirl Lip Perfection in Sultry.

  • People with warm undertones can also rock pink lips as long as it's yellow based or peachy-pink shades. Try Fashion 21 All Day Matte Lipstick in Sushi or Nyx RLS in Minimalism.

Those with cool undertones look best with blue, purple, and pink.

  • Blue-based red lipsticks like Fashion 21 All-Day Matte Lipstick in Garnet and Nichido HD Lipstick in Glam Red work well with those with cool undertones.
  • Pinks like Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Off Beat Pink or Nichido HD Lipstick in Fetish Pink are great for those with cool undertones.
  • I think rosy-pink / mauvey nudes look great people who have cool undertones - Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Mauvey and Maybelline ColorSensational in Make Me Pink.

Make up has no strict rules because it is meant to be fun and enjoyed. These are merely guidelines. The best way to know if a lipstick works for you is to try them on and see if you like how you look wearing it. In case you find testing lipsticks in mall counters gross, these may at least serve as your guide.

The best lipstick shade for you  is always the one that makes you feel confident and beautiful.

Why I Love Wearing Lipsticks and Why I Think You Should Too

Hi Friends!

Lipsticks are probably one of the oldest accessories worn by women. As a matter of fact, women in ancient Mesopotamia are believed to have invented lipstick. They used crushed semi-precious jewels to adorn their lips and eyes. Even Cleopatra, the very famous ancient Egyptian queen , made her lipstick from crushed carmine beetles and ants.

30 Days of Lipstick Challenge Day 10: Favorite Nude Lipstick

I can't believe it's already Day 10 of my #30daysoflipstick Challenge. I am having a lot of fun with this challenge. If you are a lover of lipsticks, you are free to do this challenge in Instagram too. :)
I would love to see you collections!

Day 10's challenge is FAVORITE NUDE. I can't decide on just one favorite since I have quite a few but I thought I'd go with these two. I love Fashion 21 All-Day Matte Lipstick in Bronze and CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Sultry.

Both look nude on me but they don't wash me out or make me look sick. Both have great staying power and the formula is great. I love that these are so versatile. I can use it for daytime for a natural look and pair it with a smoke eye for a night out.

That't is for my favorite nude lipsticks. What's you favorite nude lippie?

Thanks for dropping by!
